Gabriela Seres is a Romanian company that produces laboratory and decorative glassware, using the burner blowing technology for borosilicate tubes.
Since being founded in 1992, the company has been producing over 1500 assortments of laboratory glassware and hundreds of decorative glassware items.
To fulfil its goals of business development in Asia, the company took the opportunity offered by EU Gateway | Business Avenues and applied for the 2018 business mission to Korea.
Gabriela Seres was chosen, alongside emerging European companies in Contemporary European Design, to take part to the EU-funded business week in Korea’s capital and showcase its decorative products.
The event brought inspiring design companies from European countries together with their Asian counterparts in an exchange of industry insights and knowledge and helped participants broaden their business webs and get inspired.
Thanks to ongoing support from the organisers, which ensured qualitative business matchmaking services, the mission produced valuable long-standing collaborations.
The quick upshots obtained by the Romanian company shortly after the mission speak volumes about the quality of the event and the kind of accelerated results it can produce for its participants.
The mission brought Gabriela Seres a distributor for its designs on the local market, Korean company Dokuatti.
We started our business in Korea following the fair with a very serious Korean distributor. They ordered our most successful tableware collection, the Estrelas. They selected for their first order the Teapot, Teacup, White Wine Glass, Red Wine Glass and Pitcher. – Eng. Dipl. Adrian Stefanescu, Executive Manager, Gabriela Seres (Romania).
In January of this year, the company was set to deliver the finished goods in Korea.
The business mission was an opportunity for Gabriela Seres to also meet other customers, thanks to the pre-arranged and spontaneous meetings happening during the mission week.
We also sold some products to a shop in The Shilla Hotel - HUUE Gallery. They will probably order more this year. – Eng. Dipl. Adrian Stefanescu, Executive Manager, Gabriela Seres (Romania).
