Policy and public demand in South Korea fuels growth of environment sector

Korea’s Ministry of Environment forecasts growth for the environmental industry to exceed €107.7 billion by 2020.

Primary areas of growth for European companies pertain to the waste sector (recycling e-waste, waste-to-energy and bioplastics), water sector (operations and maintenance solutions, systems and technologies), and air pollution control technologies.

The public demand for resolving fine dust issue and controlling harmful gas emissions has drastically increased.

European companies specialised in noise reduction equipment and vibration control technologies can find opportunities in Korea.

In light of these thriving opportunities for European companies, EU Gateway | Business Avenues organises its third business mission in Environment & Water Technologies [1] to Korea from 23-27 September 2019.

Read the business mission information [2] for practical details.

Eligible companies have until 10 May 2019 to apply online [3].
