Korea ranks first among OECD countries in the rate of growth of its ageing population – driving the increasing demand on healthcare and medical technologies. Moreover, the medical device market has grown steadily, with an 8% Compound Annual Growth Rate from 2013-2017.
Korea’s medical industry continues to depend on imports, particularly MRI and Computed Tomography equipment, and the smart medical device market has expanded beyond medical services to cater to lifestyles and diet concerns.
EU Gateway | Business Avenues organises its 4th mission to Korea for Healthcare & Medical Technologies, taking up to 50 European companies to Seoul from 11-15 March 2019.
