Pierre Convert and Guillaume Jeangros, two brilliant engineers, founded AQYLON in 2009, in Paris. The French company specializes in designing and manufacturing Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbines.
ORC turbines transform heat into electricity and thermal power from renewable sources (biomass, geothermal, solar) or from waste heat created by industrial processes, engines or gas turbines.
Since its launch, AQYLON has been expanding worldwide and now has offices in Paris, Jakarta and other capital cities overseas.
The business mission to Korea organized by EU Gateway | Business Avenues in 2016 was an excellent occasion for AQYLON to meet worthwhile business partners.
It was almost like speed dating, one pre-arranged business meeting after the other, but I must say I’m really happy about these meetings. It’s been really well organized. – Mr. Antonio Mendes Nazare, VP Sales & Marketing Department, AQYLON (France)
Mr. Antonio Mendes Nazare, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at AQYLON, represented the company at the mission in Korea.
Throughout the mission week, he met end users, with real projects looking for solutions, as well as partners wanting to promote AQYLON’s products in Korea.
We had many quality meetings. – Mr. Antonio Mendes Nazare, VP Sales & Marketing Department, AQYLON (France)
The business mission was the company’s first contact with the Korean market.
AQYLON’s representatives were surprised by the huge potential of this market, not only in terms of energy efficiency in the industry of power plants, but also by the number of projects in biomass. Korea is rapidly growing into becoming a renewable energy force, with public investments of nearly € 4 billion in 2017.
For AQYLON, the biggest benefit of the mission to Korea was to be able to present its novel energy applications and to bring a fresh perspective to the market. The meetings held with local companies educated the company on the high demand for innovation in Korea.
This mission allowed us to meet with the first significant contacts, that we hope will be the trigger points to start successful business in Korea. We will be applying again to future EU Gateway | Business Avenues missions. – Mr. Antonio Mendes Nazare, VP Sales & Marketing Department, AQYLON (France)
After its first successful mission participation, AQYLON started collaborating on several projects through local agents such as CI-Tech, JKY Corporation, or GreenGen (GG) Company, in a range of sub-sectors including geothermal, biomass or waste heat recovery.
