Recent years have seen a significant effort on environmental protection, with a campaign against pollution and focus on green/ecological transition. Government policies and legislation for air, water, and soil pollution prevention are delivering results, and significant new efforts are expected. From January 1st 2018, the implementation of the “Environmental Protection Tax Law” and the updated “Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law” highlight the importance and growth of the environmental protection industry, and underscore the increase in terms of development opportunities and potential for business cooperation between European and Chinese companies in the sector.
Forty European companies will participate in the fourth EU Gateway to China Business Mission, which will take place from 5-9 June 2018 in Beijing. The Business Mission will focus on the Environment & Water Technologies sector, which includes waste water treatment, air pollution control, waste management, recycling, biogas, biomass and Purification & Fresh water supply.
The European participants will showcase a broad range of the latest technologies, products and solutions. Among others, this includes: membrane technology in wastewater treatment; vacuum evaporator technology for treating industrial waste water; smart waste sorting; high-efficiency solid waste decomposition technology; Recirculation Aquaculture Systems (RAS); and the Rankine Organic Cycle (ORC).
The 40 European companies, strictly selected by the European Union, will come from the following 14 European Union (EU) Member States: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Sweden and United Kingdom.
The main event during the week is the Environment & Water Technologies Exhibition days, which will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. Pre-arranged one-on-one meetings will also be organised for registered business visitors here. Visitors can meet with European companies at their booths to establish contacts and discuss possible cooperation.
